Would you rather: holiday dilemma

Just found out that my holiday accrual wasn't in fact a clerical error and I do actually have a bunch of days to take before the end of the year - or risk losing them

I could:

A. Take a 4 day weekend every week from now til the end of the year, or

B. Take a midweek weekend every week and only work a few days at a time.

Taking them all at once is sadly not really an option as I have deadlines.

Any ideas??

Go for A. Love a long weekend.

Did A a few years back with my old company and ended up only working like 9 days in December. They were not happy

Think I would go with the midweek weekend so that only working a few days at a time.

Is that why they're an old company?

Serendipity

I’d do a mixture of both options.

Partly, I'd already planned on leaving anyway so why not take the piss

I'd go with the 4 day weekend.

I've found when I take bits of days here and there I can't get into the day job properly.

I'd rather have a block of leave and then a block of work time so I could get stuck in.

Otherwise things tend to mount up.

Dubai & Nottingham

I took 4 days in Northumberland 2 weeks ago was really nice , now doing 6 in Egypt but still have 18 days to use in Nov/Dec. Another option is take a longer holiday and work from your hotel/AirBnB in the middle. Bear in mind weekends are more expensive for accom and December is also more expensive in general than November for city breaks

4 day weekend. Not working Mondays for the rest of the year sounds like a dream

On a mooch

Long weekends and then gives you solid days to relax and a block of days to focus on days at work, with a heavy workload.

4 day weekend.

The midweek sound good but you have more options to do things with 4 days in a row off plus if you have deadlines having more days in a row in work will keep you more fpcused than being in work for 1 day and 2 days at a time

Definitely A...I did this a few years ago and November and December were great. It hit me when I went back to a full week in January though, I was knackered
