Tips to make me work harder at the gym

I used to enjoy a workout most mornings before work but since getting a physical job I've stopped working out and rely on my job to keep me in shape but I need to up my level of fitness.

Any tips to incentivise me welcome. I think I'd work harder if I had a gym buddy (Litchfield area) Male or female wouldn't be an issue either way but I think I need the peer pressure to make me go and do a proper workout (might be inclined to work harder if there is a lady pushing me on lol) I've not long rejoined a proper gym rather than using the one at work so want to get my monies worth.

All tips and advise welcome to get me back to wanting to workout rather than making myself workout.

Get one of the coaches to give you programming that you’ll enjoy.

I find if I enjoy the exercises, I’m more inclined to go to the gym and want to progress.

Find something you enjoy. Spin classes, different types of exercises, anything you can find that makes it fun is gonna help you be more consistent and work harder

Definitely get a training partner, it helps massively with motivation.

If never used a PT before have a couple of sessions, will worth it to focus on on your goals and aims.

Finally squat lower than the morals of a street hooker, with amloaf bigger than I blew on your mother. As the saying goes!

If it is purely fitness, no weights, you could try things outside of the gym.

Plenty of Sports that tend to be intense but interesting and most will have a group you can join, such as Jujitsu, karate, Football, basketball, badminton and so on.

If it’s important to you you’ll find a way.

If it’s not you’ll find an excuse.

You should make sure that you go at your most motivated time of day... Have a good play list on your phone and definitly go with a friend... I'm a fitness coach and always try to get people to join in pairs...

For me, it's geeking out and trying new plans I've invented.

Seriously, listen to good music you like! It can change your motivation completely.

If I do Qigong I listen to Gucheng music - it really helps me. Especially when I get to meditative stuff!

If your gym is even half decent they would help you pair up with someone on a similar path and schedule...

If not... Tell them to employ me ha ha

I found having a PT really helped me get back into the routine, or if not a training partner, do they run lifting classes etc ?
