I really like the new John Lewis advert, with the 'old fashioned' girl and the 'modern day' boy love story.
I loved INXS so instantly recognised the track when I first saw the advert... but the singer they've chosen slaughters the song.
Anyone else seen the advert? What are your thoughts on it? |

Yes its lovely, its so cute. The INXS version of the song is much better. Whoever John Lewis have commissioned and who is the creative force behind these adverts, they want to hold onto them |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I saw it last week and instantly knew it to be John Lewis. The ad agency they appointed was featured in a documentary a couple of years ago as they won the contract. There is a definite signature to them all. This latest one was nicely timed to debut during Downton. |

As adverts go these days it is original for sure and I find draws you in. The original version of Never Tear Us Apart is an underestimated piece of music.. |
