... is pants when one lives in the countryside!

I would need to take 3 buses in order to travel to work, and start my journey at least 2 hours earlier than normal.

Taxi may be more costly, however, it certainly looks more attractive than having to stand about waiting for the buses with or without shelter!

I feel your pain having been in a similar position when my car's wheels were refurbished.

Feel free to give me a shout if you find yourself stranded and in need of a lift somewhere.

I, too, sympathise. We have hardly any public transport here and I'm pretty much stuck when my car is off the road.

I don't know how I'd cope without it.

Buy a spare car

I picked up a little Fiesta Van for £600 that I bought to take my dog to the beach in, to save him wrecking my other can.

Kates car wouldn't start on Friday morning so she just took the van.
