I've been cooking for as long as I can remember (thanks dad!) and I'm a decent cook BUT I do have an appreciation of a fella being able to cook (actually live it if a chap cooks me dinner) |

I do all our cooking as my wife works long hours so I can do fuck all apart from cooking washing cleaning and shopping and cutting firewood.
To be fair she didn’t eat lunch as she didn’t like the red onion and mushroom omelette bless her.

Yea I enjoy cooking after a day at work. Just stick some music on YouTube and let it play away. Decent at a few dishes as well as the basic stuff but would like to add some more stuff to my repertoire |

I used to be in and out of professional kitchens working in restaurants and bars, totally different from cooking at home though . My speciality is a basic pasta dish done well the old carbonara |

I love to cook…I’m very good under pressure and getting everything to the plate at the same time.
Roast beef Sunday lunch and apple crumble for dessert. Chicken fried rice and stir fry Salmon are the last few dishes made.
We’ve been on a health kick recently so it’s been good to have a bit more options available to us now

The only downside is that I then have to do the washing up...he's not the tidiest cook I've ever seen "

I love cooking, and my dinner parties were renowned. I've also found that preparing a candle lit dinner for a lady can be a licence to take knickers off, and twice I've got phone numbers in supermarkets by running recepies past ladies, and followed them up with dates. |

I love cooking though still cannot get that bloody gravy right.
I also enjoy experimenting with different foods just as bad for changing the recipe mix.
Ive surprised some that dont think i can cook.
Will share cooking with others but ive also banned some from the kitchen as its my turn to cook for them. |

Having lived alone for over 40 years cooking has become an enjoyable pastime, whilst my cake baking and jam making seems to take up an ever increasing number of days each week. |

Half-decent cook here, didn't cook much when I was younger but in my late teens I got into it.
Mostly soups, stir fries, risotto, various things involving potato, terrible attempts at pasta. |

I cook loads. Although I tend to follow recipes I have picked up useful tips here and there for more general things. I don't really have a signature dish but I can throw together a mean roast dinner or speciality salad. Apparently I do amazing things with a steak too.. |

I love cooking! It's a mixture of mindlefulness & and adaption of things you know. Any worries or problems just melt away (ahem, sorry for the crap pun!), but it does cos you are focused on not burning food....
I take great pleasure in knowing I've made something tasty for someone.
I also don't want anyone helping me. Go away I'm very capable.
My mum made sure I wasn't a pathetic male & made sure I could look after myself. She was ahead of her time..... |

"As long as its not scrambled eggs "
Try adding chives, as well as a little butter, salt, and freshly ground pepper as your scrambling the eggs, then serve on brown or white toast and topped with cold smoked salmon, finished with two smoked oysters. Complimented with a glass of bubbly. I've served that in bed, and it's always been a success.
Something runs in my head that you are from up my neck of the woods, and so if that's not to your liking, how about a Scottish breakfast tower? Consisting of:
A warmed buttery smothered in butter, with a slice of Stornoway black pudding, then a slice of square sausage, a slice of haggis on that, and topped of with an egg fried to your liking. I've fed that to friends for breakfast, and never had any complaints. |

This. Out of necessity rather than really enjoying stuff. All the best stuff that gets eaten in seconds takes hours. |

I cook . Being a widower . As I put on another thread of the same type. Years ago when family were alive. Cooked Christmas and Boxing day meals for up to eight people. Yes I do not do the so called meals on programs like master-chef etc. Meals are to fill you up, not look pretty and after eating. Go to takeaway etc as still hungry . |

That's very kind of you to say. Last night was some banging wasabi, garlic and chilli yellowfin tuna tacos with a spicy mango salsa. Served with garlic, lemon and thyme sauteed potatoes.
Currently have 2 cheesecakes setting in the fridge. Strawberry black pepper and dark chocolate, the other is a ginger and molasses caramel and spiced rum cheesecake |

I do all the cooking and ironing with a bit of the cleaning. Mrs does most of the cleaning and the garden is 100% hers along with the removal of any spiders that break into the house. It all about sharing the jobs |

"Baking is the one thing I've never gotten into. I don't know why?"
You are not the only one. I do it from time to time and is fine but not as much fun as cooking a lovely dish/meal,experimenting with ingredients etc. Baking is always much more precise. |

I am single but always make an effort with cooking (no instant meals here!). I have a decent microwave which has a fan oven function (no need to use larger oven unless guests). Also have a micro-steamer to do my veg. |
