My car seems to have gone up in value by quite a lot. I used my usual valuation site to find out the value for my car insurance and it seems to have gone up by 2k in 15 months!
Could that be right? I heard about used car prices rising due to shortages but it's so weird when they usually always only depreciate.

I was offered £6000 for my old car in February this year. I sold it with 15000 more on the clock for £8750 in august to the same place that offered me £6000!
Swings and roundabouts really though as I paid more for my new car than I would have done a few months ago |

My car is worth more now than when I bought it 3 years ago, but its all relative because the price of all cars are gone up so you won't be saving any money when you trade |

Wouldn't wanna be on the receiving end when the market eventually crashes & the buyer takes a humungous hit & the value plummets like a stone & left driving a car worth a fraction what they paid. Maybe we'll stop treating cars like chuck away white goods & actually look after them properly for a change? |

Not quite so there's people selling cars and vans at old prices who don't care so keep looking and a old price car turns up.. I've been in the car game since 1993 so trust me on this .
I've spent big on cars that were cheap ...£2000 Figaro I sold for £6600.. and on and on |

you are going to see a major problem with cars in the UK soon because the Irish aren't going to be importing as much so your used car market is going to get flooded. |

Exactly that ours have gone up by 8 and 10k its all realtive as you said. |
