Gower and Brecon Beacons are next door. Other than that it is (or was) the heroin capital of Britain. It also starred as "a pretty shitty city" in the world famous film Twin Town.

It has a reputation as a blow up the fuck out of everything place from the past
It's actually a really friendly and increasing vibrant city. Lots of the old no go places in the city have actually been redeveloped into modern eateries & pubs/clubs which are really busy and the government (DUP dinosaurs) have finally extended drinking hours beyond 1am so it's a better place to visit too.
People dealt with the troubles in different ways but alot of people used humour to get through and that has remained in the people.
Mon over and visit basically |

The coast. It has a very sheer drop onto boulders and then the waves to wash you out to sea.
Otherwise it's a nice walk along there where you don't bump into many people. |

"If you were pitching your city in Dragons Den as the best place to live in, what's the one best thing about it....?"
Henley royal regatta.
For 1 week in the year, small Oxfordshire town becomes centre of the rowing world and puts on its glad rags. |

Sorry, that wasn’t the most erudite response
There really is something for everyone here; beaches, hills, countryside, city, history, great places to eat and drink. I just love it. |

"I just love Mancunians
I agree. I'm always made to feel welcome when I pop up for a visit. The one thing that London lacks is Northern hospitality x" Northerners more fun and friendly i find! Ever been to Anal Street? Ooppps i mean Canal Street hahahaha |
