little house on the praire

I think with age comes contentment through wisdom, life has a lot to through at you and when your younger you experience all the shit for the first time so its harder to deal with. With age you grow stronger. Also you have a few less worries, happier with the person you are, your children have usually grown up and although you still worry, maybe not quiet as much as when they are younger.

The worst thing about growing older is acceptance that people around you dont live for ever and you start to loose people close to you.

Im 47 and i like the age i am, i wonder how i will feel when i get to sixty. But when i was 20 i couldnt imagine being this age. I hope im as contented when im sixty as i am now. If i had to sum up getting older in one word i would say acceptance

I'd like to grow old gracefully while still young at heart in outlook.

Absolutely nothing. You'll have your memories. ...

You'll also have heart disease, incontinence, some young whippersnapper wiping your arse and bathing you whilst you can't remember what year it is, let alone what day.

Live fast, die young is my motto!
