"is it cheeky to ask someone to remove one you had left them?"

Not cheeky if you've changed your mind, just think it's unlikely they will. Especially a CutenSassy veri!

Yes because it should have only been left in first place if it was really meant about what happened at that meet and anyone once it's sent it brcames theirs to do with what they want.

I have remove verifcation before when someone asked, had a fair reason, personal stuff.

it wasn't being d*unk and not remembering though.

i've left verification's when i've been very horny and sometimes they have been cringe worthy with how graphic they were.

or sometimes ive left them for people singing that persons praises and then they have pissed me off or turned into a complete twat.. i just wouldn't want to associate myself with them

S'pose it is a bit if you meant it at the time but then it also depends why you want it removed

I left a chap a veri here once cos he was doing work on my house, the veri was for that, as he had on his profile that he did odd jobs, however I spoke too soon and the fucker did half a job and left with the cash never to be seen again

They cheeky git kept the veri and I didn't want him to rip off another person, luckily it disappeared when I blocked him and removed him from my friends list... assuming that wasn't coincidence.

Depends on the reason. A veri only really goes to prove someone is genuine after all and is for other people viewing that persons profile. It bears no reflection in you really

If you are really that bothered by them just block them. If you think they are that much of a twat why wouldnt you block them anyway?

ive only ever met one guy who i verified then he turned into a knob head so i didnt want my verification on his profile because if anyone else met him and he acted the same i didnt like the thought they met him because i said what a nice guy he was, when it turned out he wasnt

I just blocked him

dont hurt to ask but id suggest just blocking him

We once asked someone to remove our verification, he split from his partner and started another relationship but kept the same profile. That meant our veri wasn't then about the couple in the profile. I'd send a message asking them to remove it but would consider blocking as that would achieve the same result. Z

If you just go to manage verifys and under each one is show or remove from profile do that and it will be gone with no need to block

"is it cheeky to ask someone to remove one you had left them?"

Nope. I had the same situation with someone I had met a few times, and later found out he'd been telling big porkies..

I asked him not to display the veri I left him, and he took it off. Obviously if they won't take it off, you'd have to block them if you really don't want it there

Meh, just block if you arent happy.

Have blocked, and if they have left if up and you are concerned about veries wait a day or two, then leave them. If they arent your bag after leaving them one, then block.

"Block them and the veri will come off.. x"
is this true?? Or just that you cannot see it - as not allowed to view lol. I thought the only time you loose the wording - is if the person deletes...x

this only works with the verifications you receive, not the ones you send out x

"Block them and the veri will come off.. x is this true?? Or just that you cannot see it - as not allowed to view lol. I thought the only time you loose the wording - is if the person deletes...x"

From the FAQ:

I'd like to remove a verification I've given to another member

(New, Sept 2010) If you block a user, verifications you have left will no longer show on their profile and similarly verifications they have left you will not show on yours. If you remove the block then the verifications will show again. Removing a verification will not remove a user's "verified tick", it only stops the verification text showing on their profile.

"is it cheeky to ask someone to remove one you had left them?"

Unfortunately I guess as easy as it is to remove it the easier it is to display it again

... then why do you not wait a few days before you write them a veri? We've had to learn that one the hard way... If you put a little time between the meet and the veri, it does help to get the whole thing in perspective...

true... just because the meet has just gone out the door doesn't mean you have to trot to the lappy and proclaim their every virtue in haste then repent at your leisure

I dont think it is cheeky and if I felt the need to do that I would ask. Having said that, I wonder whether the person would be reluctant to remove it as this could possibly feel like a belated rejection?
