Last week was out first mini get together over coffee and no cake (don’t ask, sore subject)
10 of us around a big table, most having never met face to face.
I can safely say it was a roaring success and there was laughter all afternoon.. even more so at 11.30pm when 2 of them appeared at my living room window scaring the living shit out of us!!
So if you’re as antisocial as me and just like the idea of meeting fellow fab folk for coffee and a chat, nothing more, just friendship.. why not do the same?!?
Someone has to make the first move. Why not let it be you… stare your area and see if we can get more comedy brew dates organised near you.

We kept it small so 6 ladies, 4 men and a couple. Was fabulous! |

Sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon. I think keeping the numbers small is good as you actually get to talk to everyone properly.
I don’t think there are many forum people from our area though.

"When I first joined fab I went to a few group socials that were organised in Gloucester. Recently been searching for something similar in North Somerset but no joy and not quite ready to risk setting one up myself I don’t get out enough to know of any good venues for a start
We just went to a spacious pub near me go on do it!! It’s a right crack "
I popped a status up about socials locally… so far not a single interest or knowledge of local ones. I’ll have a bash at organising one in the meets when I know I have a free weekend and see if that fairs any better |

I've been thinking about trying to arrange something similar in my area, but wasn't quite sure where to start?
Do you put a post out, but equally don't want number's to get silly?
Is it best to have a date and venue in mind first?
Do you book a table?
Also, making sure the numbers are correct, and it's not just me with 9 guys lol
It should be a chilled out, casual get together without making it over complicated

I booked a table in a large spacious pub that I knew we could be noisy in and everyone turned up 10-12 is more than enough to be able to chat comfortably. Defo rope someone else to help. It just takes that first person to say let’s get sorted x |
