"You can't get rent when you mortgage a property. Most buy to let properties are mortgaged. The first part I get. The second needs help!"
Most landlords in reality have mortgages on the properties they let.
Maybe that should be reflected in the game.
Ie you collect half rent while the property is mortgaged. |

Unless your get out of jail card gets replaced with I've-got-dimplomatic-immunity card. This can be used to avoid any fine or charge and can get you out of jail. This is a card that you can again and again. |

"It’s a blatant rip off of ‘The Landlords Game.
..more info needed."
A quick Google on the landlords game will let you know the backstory.
In 1903 Elizabeth Magie patented a game called the Landlords game. It had a square bored you moved around, fake money and properties with deeds. You would go to jail for trespassing.
In the 1930’s it was customised to be more local by a community of Quaker’s in Atlantic City before a chap called Charles Darrow came across it and loved it.
Darrow took the concept to Parker Brothers and Monopoly was born. No credit was ever given to Elizabeth Maggie at the time.
When the game started to become popular the Parker brothers bought the rights to similar games, including the Landlords game. They paid Lizzie about $500 for the rights to it and a couple of other game ideas she had. She thought they were going to make her game, but they pushed on with monopoly instead and never paid her a penny in royalties. They just bought her patent to protect themselves.
That’s the short version and liable to mistakes as it’s a complicated story! Worth a read.

"If you have the car you don't pay congestion charge" Are you suggesting a congestion charge should be added for one car on a road of blocks?
I would say to make the game more legit yes..but then I'm a radical. |

There are lots of ways to get to jail and when you leave the distance you go is determined by the two dice roll. 9 of the possible 21 dice scores are covered by 6, 7 and 8. For example you can get a 6 by rolling a 2 and a 4, two 3's or a 5 and a 1. In comparison the only way of getting a 12 is to roll a double 6. That said, ruling a double gets you out of jail so the chances of moving an even number from jail are slightly skewed from the standard dice chances.
