Do people really think it is funny to be a dick like this? You wouldn’t actually hit anyone in real life so why kick off a thread like that? It’s this kind of stuff that makes social media a sewer IMHO.

I don’t think any reasonable person would infer that it was a literal smack in the face with a chair - its quite obviously a tongue in cheek metaphor for someone you dislike in the media - happy to clarify.

If I don’t like a post or find it tedious - I just don’t engage with it. Then i find ones i do enjoy and engage with those instead.

Normally I would agree with you but I guess the fact that my neighbours boy was beaten up last week as a result of a social media thread like this that got out of hand because some people didn’t quite get the fact it was a joke has taken some of my tolerance for threads like this away.
