Because there's nothing stopping them looking out of curiosity still. That and if their "looking for" states not looking for single guys, then they won't show up in any searches by single guys... and you can't message them
Makes it easier for them to pick and choose who they want to contact.

Not really. They could view your profile for 100 reasons, and they aren’t answerable for any of them.
If they want to interact with you they will. If not there are plenty others who are available.
This place is much more fun when you don’t sweat things like that  |

Because if they leave their filters open to single men they get inundated with messages ranging from half decent ones right down to dixk pics with what looks like blue waffle and not a single one of them will have read their profile.
Nobody wants that and nor do they want to spend their time trawling through potentially hundreds of messages to find one that might be worth a read.
It's better to look yourself. |

Exactly sounds like despair to me. I’ve been very lucky to have met lots of lovely people via Fabs and still have friendships with a lot of them. |
