What is the general opinion of Sky Q thanks to Sky having a software problem since Saturday and having a dam good moan at them yesterday they are upgrading me to Q all free plus wiping Novembers charges totally.
Just interested to know how good Q actually is. |

I’ve had it a while and I never really watch things in real time I’m always recording stuff. With Q think you can record up to 6 things the same time. Much more storage space as well. Plus multi room. I have a mini box in my room, my daughter room and one in the kitchen. Also like Belle said, if you press a button on your main sky box it sets an alarm off on the remote so you can find it. Voice control on the remote plus the new remote hasn’t got that annoying touch sensitive pad anymore it’s buttons again. |

Q is good but, does have it's quirks. If they are upgrading you free of charge then, go for it.
Sky Glass has just come out (no digi box or sat dish) which is basically everything built into the TV. |

ive had q now for a year and for the most part its ok..the problem i have with sky now is there is way to much adverts on it..to the point where i just dont bother putting it on..even the "premium" movie channels are filled with adverts..if im honest i dont think its worth the money..also thier tech is terrible |

used to alays have sky, and paid through the nose for it, when i last moved couldnt have a dish, know this isnt a problem with sky q, so didnt get sky, got netflix and prime, had this already, but never used the tv bit, and cant say i miss sky at all, even the recording bit is abit old hat now with most stuff being on catch up etc, think sky has had its time tbh, and im over 50 quid a month better off, result |

"I like it… especially the app’s stuff… so if you have YouTube ID and Spotify you can use those setups!!
Also Q gives you more stuff to go into!!!"
Also… if you have a mobile phone, and you have YouTube… you can link up the ID so you can find the video on your phone, but play it on the TV!!!
I know.. my mind was blown when I first worked out how to do it… |

I do that sometimes when a film I want isn’t on Netflix or prime or Disney plus or sky store. It’s £1.99 to rent a movie off YouTube and the quality is normal. |

I dog sit for a friend occasionally and she has it, think it’s fine, a definite upgrade from the standard box in the way it looks and performs etc. My one complaint is this. I live in a 2 bed house on my own. I don’t have a TV in the bedroom so I don’t need the pause and play option. If my standard box fails, I’m facing another price hike essentially for functions I’m never likely to use. As far as I’m aware there’s no alternative for people in my situation. |
