A smile spurs a chemical reaction in the brain, releasing certain hormones including dopamine and serotonin. “Dopamine increases our feelings of happiness. Serotonin release is associated with reduced stress."
I've changed my picture for the day, hopefully to make you smile!
Do something to make yourself or someone else smile today   You could even say you're in and hopefully receive a nice surprise from someone else  |

Smiling is one of those things that can make another person feel better without saying a word.
I've never understood why if your out and about people don't smile at each other? I'm the dirty of guy who says morning or Stretton to everyone I pass and skills but never get why people don't even say or smile back.

Lovely thread OP. I love a smile, always nice to recieve and will often get a slightly surprised look followed by one in return.
Saw two lone runners out today while running with her ladyship, one was a bit far away so got a smile and a wave, the other had a shared smile and hello as we passed. What was really nice is both were women out alone in the countryside. We are seeing more and more of this lately and I think it's brilliant.
