Ummm I think it’s got to be Prisoner of Azkaban, it’s not it started to get a little dark and Gary Oldman is amazing. I honestly don’t have a least favourite because they all play a key part in the overall story but if I had to I’d say Chamber of secrets

Technically Order of the Phoneix and Half-blood were pretty boring for most of the runtime.
But had a purpose and a point in the story. They were just a bit too much talking and setup.
I'd say they are my least favourite. Deathly Hallows (it's one movie!) is my favourite. |

My favourite book was the half blood Prince.
This is relevant as when I watched the films much later than everyone else had been raving on about it all I was quite disappointed with them.
They have grown on me since though and it’s mainly because of the late Allan Rickmans portrayal of Severus snape.
Truly one of his greatest roles and his dry wit, dead pan delivery and hidden vulnerability was an acting masterpiece. |

My favourite is Prizoner of Azkaban as it got a little darker and they almost felt like regular school kids. Least favourite is Goblet of Fire. Not sure why but it just didn't do anything for me. |

Studio wanted Tim Roth to play the role until he turned it down.
So they had to default to Rowling's personal choice of Rickman. |

Good facts pal.
Maybe If Tim Roth had got the role the whole franchise would of failed and millions more would of read the books.
I’m not sure which outcome would of been more tragic! |

I certainly don't think the movie would have worked on the same level if Tim Roth had played Snape - he is good but in his own way.
The books kind of needed the movies, even though I enjoy books, the Harry Potter series never appealed to me (and I'm a huge fantasy nerd). I even resisted watching the movies until just before Azkaban was due to come out. Once I did I felt I had to read the books, and I'm very glad that I did. I can imagine that book readers after seeing the movies are more numerous than those that read prior to them. |
