"How come the French can find one English trawler in their waters and seize it yet can't seem to find one of the 300 dingies that pass every week?"
Maybe there are hundreds of trawlers and they only found one? They certainly do find many of the dinghies and stop many even setting out.
The problem with this thread is right there in the tittle - the French. There is no such thing as the French the idea of Frenchness is completely imaginary, they're people exactly the same as you or I.
