It does! My best friends brothers partner hers kept falling out. Highlights is all i ever get and i'm dark haired. Also conditioning hair is important  OP you do what you want if you like the colour go for it. x  |

You look good in all your pics but colouring a pic is one thing doing it for real is another.
I'm not a fan of bottled blonde but must admit today's colourings are better products that times gone by.
I always think dark hair is much more sophisticated.
There's a reason women dye their hair blonde tho .... I believe. |

You look great blonde, Jess. But your dark hair is so beautiful. And even with today's products, your hair will suffer - especially if it's a block colour.
What about red lowlights, as someone suggested?

I went blonde for a few years. The beauty is, you can always go back to brunette, really easily, if you change your mind.

Good point. I've got quite thick eyebrows and they looked weird when I went blonde. |

Wow, thanks for all the feedback. It's fairly even but I think brunette is edging it. I'm actually red atm, but I'm naturally a brunette. The blonde in the picture app thing came out way better than I expected! Xx |

Yes, you could pull it off easily. But if you're red and have always dyed your hair dark it will cost a fortune and also a good few sessions to get you to a nice shade of blonde. Also that shade of blonde can damage your hair and take away the softness and shine. I love the dark hair on you and would stay brunette. If you do decide to go blonde though it would look fab. Maybe get some caramel type highlights to start? |

I think you should go with whichever you prefer, it's you who will be living with it. Personally I prefer the darker hair - but hey, I prefer myself with darker hair but now it's white. |

I'm very 50/50. The maintenance and damage is starting to put me off, the women on here that have actually done it seem to be warning me off xx |

Just be aware that’s a filter and going from dark (reddish) to blonde is a process and it may not look exactly like that and will take time to get that blonde |

I like the blonde but for such a radical change you probably need to get it done professionally, to make sure it's doneproperly.
I'm too much of a tight arse abd dye my own... fortunately I don't care if it's not quite as planned  |

You are a stunning brunette, its a really sophisticated and sultry look on you. I went from Red to white blonde and it took my hairdresser 3 attempts, cost a fortune, wrecked my hair and it didn't last long before I died it again (every colour of the rainbow). The upkeep, roots and dealing with snapping frizzy hair was totally not worth it. Blonde does look pretty but you really suit a darker colour xx |

The damage is very much dependent on the hair. Mine is bleached under the random colours and has been for years but is in good condition.
I rarely blow dry it, don't use straighteners and use a nourishing conditioner. |
