"Mount Everest is 29028ft high most of the time. Sometimes it is 29029ft"
The first 2 surveys of everest confirmed the height was exactly 29k feet. The surveyors thought people would just think they guessed if they listed that as the height so they added a bit on to make it sound more realistic |

Mercury goes into retrograde 3 times a year (meaning the planet appears to move backwards) and it fucks people up particularly it messes with all types of communication (as Mercury as the ruler of comms) and it’s that time where all the exes seem to be crawling back (and it’s certified that it does )
3 times a year, guys! |

Everest is the highest peak but its not the tallest mountain."
There are whale bones embedded in some of the highest peaks in the Himalayas - since the mountain range's formation was started under the ocean. |

"I read somewhere that if you were given $10,000 a day starting when the pyramids were being built, you would have 17% of Elon Musks net worth today "
Say pyramids 5,000 years old x 365 days =
1.8 million days give or take
1.8m days x 10,000 spondoolies
= 180,000,000,000 spondoolies
= 180 billion
Tesla is worth about a Trillion
180 billion is 18% of a trillion
So, yeah! |

There is a cottage on the Riverbank in Chester called ‘Nowhere’, it used to be a secret drinking spot for the men of the village! when their wives asked where they used to go, they replied ‘ Nowhere’ which is how the name allegedly came about! It’s also said to be the reason why John Lennon wrote ‘Nowhere man’, after visiting the cottage in the early 60’s! Miss pc |

When they did the computer modelling of how the himalayas were formed when the Indian subcontinent impacted Asia, they found that the rocks behaved as they piled up and spread out was in a similar way to.... treacle. (Just a lot slower) |

The whistling at the end of sitting on the dock of the bay by otis redding was never meant to be on the recording.
It was on because redding still wasn't sure of the lyrics yet.

If you stick a green Haribo bear up each nostril while eating chicken the chicken tastes like strawberries. |

I heard one the other day, not checked its true but ...
If you know Pi to 40 decimal places it is accurate enough to calculate the circumference a circle the size of the milky way to within the width of a proton. All this calculating Pi to hundreds of decimal places is just pointless maths.

The original members of Thin Lizzy, Brian Downey, Eric Bell and Phil Lynott once recorded an album of Deep Purple songs for a German. They were called The Funky Junction and not credited as actually playing on the thing ! |

Working title of the film was actually meant to be ‘going down slowly’ but was not used as it may have offended... someone ! |

The only frog that makes the typical "ribbit" noise, is the Brazilian Bull Frog, found in the Amazon Rainforest.
All other frogs don't make this sound. They screach other noises but not the typical "ribbit" |

If you hear a frog in a movie chances are it's the Pacific tree frog:
https://youtu.be/ZGsRsDNBsow
It's a frog native to north America, so in the early days of Hollywood was the one used as a generic "frog" sound effect in movies, whether or not it was an accurate reflection of sounds made by native frogs of the location in which the film is set.
Lots of jungle movies with Pacific tree frog sound effects in them! |

"Former US President Jimmy Carter only has one testicle.
According to a song much loved among my primary school peers, so did Hitler, and Goebbels didn't have any if memory serves."
Strange thing to know Jimmy Carter only having one testicle but found this out whilst putting a work quiz together, (thought I'd make it a little quirky) it made people laugh.
Hitler Has Only Got One Ball song.

Pogonophobia is the fear of beards.
You probably know your fair share of men who sport some sort of facial hair. But if you suffer from pogonophobia—the fear of beards—then you'd rather avoid them. And it turns out, this fear could be justified: A 2018 study published in the journal European Radiology suggests that beards contain significantly higher amounts of bacteria than dogs do. |

The world's oldest known breed of domesticated dog dates back to 329 BC... and possibly still less bacteria even then |

"Pineapple is mildly flesh eating.
Bromelain?
Yes! The only known source. I wonder why it evolved that way. Do they eat flies? "
It's a proteolytic enzyme, it'll be involved in repair and regeneration in the pineapple plant.
I've just read it might be helpful in treating rhinosinusitis though, I'm off to find how one applies it for this purpose! |
