Apparently this is more common than people realise and I suffer from it although didn’t entirely realise this to be a fact. Or what it is called.

So made this thread for anyone that struggles to pee when others are close by.

I hate urinals and struggle to pee when next to someone.

And I read a lot of people suffer from it.

I don’t know why though. Paruresis is apparently really common and not spoken about?

Not really. I can pee no problem, even if it’s on someone.

Depends on how badly I need to go. It does happen semi regularly if I know I’m having a quick one knowing the next toilet break maybe some time or distance away.

However I’d say I do have this issue and not shy in admitting it either.

I've suffered from it occasionally when in crowded public loos. It's not a problem most of the time though.
