"Pythagorus
I learned that pythagoras led a cult that believed beans and humans were related and he was chased into a field of beans and killed for being a heretic
Useless until now"
And now I’ve learned something else useless in all but one scenario |

The area of a circle is pi r squared, the circumference is 2 pi r.
The formula to solve quadratic equations is still in my head, as is the German for 1974 and the fact that Xerxes' mother was Atossa. I can recite Jenny Kissed Me by Leigh Hunt and I can play the recorder.
I can't navigate daily life but by God I can play you a shrill version of Annie's Song. |

Cicero's name came from cicer, meaning chickpea, because an ancestor had a nose with a dent that looked like a chickpea.

Erased from my mind as soon as I got my piece of paper never to be revisited "

"Fencing, riding and sailing all spring to mind.
...ahhh no, come on ...we all need to know how to ride surely?! "
Given how few places have horses anything like large enough to carry someone the size of me, it's not really a skill I get to exercise much. |

"Chemistry and Biology at school "
I use both of these all the time. Literally my bread 'n' butter.
I bet you use a basic knowledge of all the sciences all the time. Anyone who makes a conscious decision to stick a condom on their penis (or asks a partner to do so) is making use of their knowledge of conception and how to prevent it (biology). |

"Knowledge is power!
Money is much more powerful, and knowledge is useless if you neither have nor create the opportunities in which to use it, to your advantage.

There's a guy in the place
With a bittersweet face
And he goes by the name
Of Ebeneezer Goode....
Bloody marvellous.... |

"Pythagorus
Actually very helpful for squaring corners in the construction industry and no doubt plenty of other stuff "
They don’t use that in construction. It’s trigonometry based algorithms. |

When the zombie take over it might come in handy
If I had a bow and arrows and not just the knowledge, I’d agree… "
