Do you handwash

Girls… Do you handwash your lingerie or put them on a cold wash in the washing machine?

I tend to handwash all my bras and lace stuff and it takes some elbow grease!!! X

But I’m literally SCARED they end up ruined. I’ve done my fair damage of shrinking stuff… particularly sweaters

Any tips? Sharing knowledge is caring!!! X

I hand wash my practical bras because they’re bloody expensive and I need them to last. I pay a hefty big tiddy tax.

Lace underwear and lingerie gets put on a delicate wash usually unless I’m in a rush and I put them in a pillow case on an express wash

My machine has a hand wash cycle. They go on that. Anything delicate I put in a pillow case.

Everything goes into a laundry bag on a normal wash. My normal wash is 20°-30°.

Things that really can't go into the machine, e.g. corsets, I wash by hand but they don't need scrubbing, just refreshing.

You should be fine following the instructions on the garments. If something shrinks and you washed it as per instructions it was probably not preshrunk and I would take it back for a refund.

I put delicate lingerie in a mesh bag in the machine. I mainly do this because the filter jammed once and the repair guy came and pulled a pair of my big "monthly" knickers from the filter. Mortified.

I shall try the delicate cycle maybe without any spin to be sure. As I said I’m mega paranoid and I made some really bad mistakes with things I forgot it had cashmere in it and well. My barbies have now beautiful jumpers
