Do you own a slightly unusual but much loved item? Something picked up with memories attached or a talking piece when people see it? What item are you proud of and adore?

I have a beautiful, yet sturdy, antique Hungarian wooden rocking chair that just makes me smile. It’s lovely for curling up in.

What’s your much cherished item?*

*obviously people and pets outweigh mere possessions ultimately, but today I’m just intrigued about your *thing*

Yes, I've got a piece of granite on ma windowsill which I collected from the top of Ben Nevis when I and an ex climbed it and shagged at the top of it in 1991

Okay so this isn’t very valuable at all, it probably cost me 100Y when I visited Tokyo years ago

It’s a little Daruma doll

So I’ve painted one eye with my wish when I started my journey as my goal.

Once I feel like I’ve done everything and my goals have been accomplished. I’ll paint the other eye

It’s something so stupid but holds value to me x

La la land

A blue wool blanket I've had since a baby. It's been everywhere with me (it's single bed size), it's now has holes in it and the satin ribbon edging is frayed, but I'll never part with it.

Also my dad’s wedding ring that I was given when I saw my dad take his last few breaths. He even had his on his middle finger as he just have put it wrong before going into hospital.

That ring is always with me and I wear it on my thumb x

I have my Nanna’s engagement ring that I love dearly and a retro radiogram from my parents house that had been relegated to the cellar. I love the fact they bought it when they got married and I can play my vinyl on something so beautiful

I have a little wooden stool. I used to sit in it when I was a toddler at my grandparents house , it was my great grandma's originally.

My grandchild now uses it , I will never ever get rid of it. It's not pretty to look at, but I love it

Walking down the only road I've ever known!

I have my granddads bible, it's been safely tucked in a drawer for over 50 years.

A souvenir made from the old Wembley seats. It's a reminder of the days when I spent a lot of days out with my children.

I try not to cherish an item that I can't easily carry with me in a suitcase in an emergency evacuation. I value cards and such items my son made for me. Everything else, I am willing to let go of.
