Which point in time would you have picked to live in?

The 21st century is a lot better for women, no way I would want to live in any era before the 1980s as an adult. "
In Anglo Saxon times (730 ad) men and women were equal status, and very little gender discrimination as to jobs. |

For me too.
A very high degree of bodily autonomy, the ability to earn, keep and manage my own money, the ability to hold property in my own name, access to a good education, ready access to birth control and a pretty damned good life expectancy.
Things aren't perfect, but they're certainly better right now for me than they would've been in any historical period. |

Most of the periods I have interest in (Dark Ages to Middle Ages) would have been pretty shite for females, whether rich or poor. So I'd have to go with my third choice - Roman era. Though I'd have to have been part of the Patrician class. The female head of the household, although never equal to her husband/father, was accorded respect & status. X |

Not true for the "upper classes" in Britain. The female was still owned by her father & then by her husband. X |

Aside from the negatives as formentioned, the Victorian Era. A mix between science/superstition/religion. Seems so exciting! The clothes were amazing too.
