YOU are an ASSET..but not in the way that you think.

You are an asset in £

IF there were less of you £ wouldn't be flowing so much around the club/event scene.

I would rather have fewer options and encounter the haphazardness of integrity found around here than ultimately £ over the odds for it.

Which you are doing when the financial burden falls on you.

Now if entrance fees to such places were equal you wouldn't be £ for them.

You would be playing on a level footing and not mere £

It all depends on what a person considers it to be to thrive..for me paying more than others isn't thriving.

Others may see it differently..just the fact of being a cash cow prevents me from participating.

I have voted with my feet.

When I first came around these here parts I participated at such events and had a good time.

It's just that now (for me) it's a no no..simple fact I'm not willing to pay more.

I see no collective call to do anything here I'm pointing something out and if I'm wrong? Let me know.

Because theatre and football don't rely on the gender balance of the attendees for the event to work.

You can have a football match with 100% male attendance. A straight swinging club with 100% male attendance probably wouldn't work so well.

It's objectively unfair. But this is the result of the culture we have.

Ask yourself why so few women are comfortable going to such events, rather than assuming men are being persecuted.

Isn't all of this based on supply and demand, and the desperation/inflated ideas of men?

If all clubs charged a flat rate of say £££££, then all men would pay £££££ to get in the club's, and the clubs would be full of men all believing that their £££££ would get them a guaranteed shag.

If men weren't so sex obsessed and stupid, everyone would be paying ££ to get in and there would be an equal mix of the sexes.

Everytime I think I understand what the point is, I end up confused again. So I wont comment on that directly.

However I do think there being a price difference based upon gender/sex is wrong and should not exist for whatever reason. It would be getting slammed as sexist if it were reversed (regardless of ratios) and in almost every other transaction. People shout about equality and respect but then are fine with things like this.

I don't do clubs, I never will so my overall investment in the whole thing is low anyway. But the entire situation shows for most equality is very rarely the goal for most people and it really comes down to what is best for them as an individual.

Not when you factor in the fact that women often spend a hell of a lot more on 'outfits' Who needs anyone to dress up?"

What? Who says they're dressing up for anyone but themselves?

For alot of us it's the experience as a whole.

That doesn't happen at the theatre!"

Yes but that's because it doesn't matter whether the people who go to a theatre are either men or women or anything else. It does matter very much at singers clubs because there are many more men who would go than women. What would your suggestion be for making sure clubs are not swamped with men if it's not pricing?

Why don't you just go to a gay sauna? You'll be treated the same as everybody else. Or maybe it makes a difference to you that there are no women there, unlike at a theatre.

What's wrong with gay saunas?

I didn't say anything is wrong with gay saunas. I was recommending them to you if the balance of men to women is less important to you than a pricing policy that doesn't favour women. Why would you recommend a gay sauna to me?

Oh for goodness sake. You want yo go somewhere you can have sex but you don't like a pricing policy that favours women. Gay sauna. Job done.

Secret hideaway in the pennines

Fab is one of the few equal opportunity sites around.

Although I do agree that single guys are charged more to get into clubs, it a way of keeping the numbers down, if you want to go to a club, you pay the price and visa versa, it is all about balance, you have to remember that the single ladies hold the power both on here and in the clubs

This thread is like Brexit.

Nobody understood it to start with, it's gone on so long nobody even cares anymore and the outcome is going to be the one who started it feeling like a bit of a tit.

All we need now is two resignations, a pandemic to interrupt it and a swinger shortage leading to panic shagging when it's all settled down a bit.

Yes. It's called making a point. If a gay sauna is not appropriate for you, maybe you are acknowledging that you want some women there. A club with an equal pricing policy is likely to be swamped with men, and most men's chances with women wouldn't be any better than at a gay sauna. So I'm just saying that if that's what you want, then go to a gay sauna and at least you'll pay the same as everybody else and you can still have wank before you go home.

Please tell me somebody else understands the point I'm making.

OP, you really are quite an inflammatory personality aren’t you.

The title of your post bares little relevance to the point you’re trying to make within.

There will always be disparate pricing as the market dictates it.

It’s an inverse economy of scale. The minority (single women, couples) need to be incentivised to take part and the majority (men) pay for that incentive.

You won’t change it by bleating about it or trying to start a Revolution. If you want equality, follow Luke’s suggestion and go to a gay sauna where all pay the same and have equal opportunity.

Fab will always reward those who try harder. You get out of here what you put in.

Just try to have fun

X

"Eh? "

I’m guessing the op means the inequity in pricing when it comes to swinging clubs.

The reason is very simple - there are at least ten times as many men on fab as there are women.

Why? Probably because a single female swinger would be viewed as a ‘slag’ by the outside world - in fact often the men of fab seem to hold the women on here in little regard.

Op - when the world out there (and in here) grows up and accepts that women have every right to be as sexually active/non monogamous as men without being derided for it - then perhaps the numbers on fab will even up - and the pricing policy in clubs might do too.

Can’t see it happening in my lifetime though unfortunately.

This is very interesting point, and I have a question about it. How much would you say it's about shame (which I'm sure is a factor for some women) and how much of it is just that it's not what a lot of women want. I personally would have thought that far fewer women just naturally aren't interested in swinging, ethical non-monogamy and all the sort of thing this scene involves. I think it much more naturally appeals to men because their biology is such that they want to sow their seed. Many women don't crave different lovers in the way men do.

How much do you think shame and stigma are the driving factors for women not being on this scene as much as men?

Sex sells.

The prospect of getting it sells.

Are those women going to be getting their hair braided while at said venue?

If most men thought that it is unlikely men who attend in such numbers.

It is more likely that more females would attend for braiding tips?

What do the females go to those clubs for anyway..the atmosphere alone?

Honestly? I’d say it’s 60/40 in favour of women not being as geared towards non-monogamy.

However - if you took all the women happy to have casual relationships on tin*er, po* and sites I’ve never heard of and brought them here where they’d actually be far safer (in a club rather than a random guy’s house) - then the numbers on fab - and in clubs would be far more even.

On a philosophical note - I think that things are changing out there - but slowly. 3 generations of contraception are gradually changing perceptions that sex is only acceptable/practical in a monogamous long term relationship. Prior to that - women were literally thrown out of society if they didn’t comply with this rule. The church - of every religion - certainly doesn’t help matters either.

It’s going to take a while to erode the conditioning of millennia of male dominated society.

The drastically unequal numbers on fab are simply an indication that we have a very long way to go.

"This thread is like Brexit.

Op Shall we Promote this fella forth Wiff??

To the higher levels for his problem solving foresight. The honourable fella has contributed with Gusto.. "

A very strange economic proposal and one that needs a proper economist to solve it.

As for Gusto?

Yep..promotion!

Don't clubs limit the number of single men anyway? Not like they can just show up, pay and suddenly the building capacity is filled with single men. So why does the higher price on men keep being mentioned and refered to as if the price is meant to be a deterrent?

How many women or couples would suddenly stop going to clubs if they had to pay the same price as single men? Nothing around the rules changed, just that you pay more to attend?

As some have said its about economics, except it should not be supported.

As I said, I don't care so much about the club side of things, but the hypocrisy about somebody having to pay a higher price of admission for anything at all based upon their gender (ANY gender) when such a big deal is made about it if it were anybody else other than single men is hilarious.

Recommending a gay sauna to a straight guy funniest thing I've seen on the forums lmao. Unless of course he's secretly bi or interested in ts tv and cds. I do understand the difference in prices though but if I was straight I wouldn't bother. Tbh wouldn't bother even if the price was the same lol
