"Actually Christmas is only a little over 2 months away, last year my local shops were selling birthday cards in January and it's not my birthday until October,a full 9 months away "
That's crazy. It's getting worse. They will have them all year round next.

"Haven't got enough family to make Christmas a thing anymore."
Christmas doesn't have to be a big thing if you don't want it to be. Buy something you always wanted for yourself, wrap it up and open it Christmas day. Spend the day doing what makes you happy, and if you aren't that mad about roast dinner then don't have one it's not obligatory, I might have pizza. |

If you want to make it a thing OP, make it a thing. You don't need a big family in order to celebrate it, as a poster above said.
I do think it must be difficult around this time of year for those who are single and/or struggle with the festive season. Sending you hugs and hopes that it doesn't affect you too much. |

No! It's not a lonely thing, it's from being brought up with family gatherings and none of them being near anymore.
Well. That and the fact that it's over two bloody months until Christmas |

I reckon most of the supermarkets have really gone quiet on Halloween this year as the trick or treating and parties will be really low what with Covid.
Plus they are all placing Xmas scarcity fears in us by putting Xmas stuff out now. |

I'm sorry to hear Christmas isn't a good time for you OP. I hope there's something that comes along one day that makes you look at Christmas differently. |
