Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Replaced mine earlier this year. One of the most important things I ever bought.

Was given a good bit of advice when doing my Fire Warden training.

Always check your alarms and change your batteries every year, and a good date for doing that is November 5th. Not a date you can easily forget.

NOOO once a month why wait for a whole year to find out it failed the day after you tested it

i have 3 IKEA ones with the 5 year batteries and they only lasted 48 months

Checking every one of them in my house regularly, especially now I have let it. Would not forgive myself if anything happened.

Yes check you alarm monthly, even weekly, but change your batteries once a year regardless.

Not forgetting to test your carbon monoxide alarm. Surprises me how many people don't have them.

Been reading the posts, glad to see your all trying to do what is right.

Clean using vac once a week

Test every week

Battery every year

And if you are not sure get number for local fire station and ask the question. They have been calling around here over the last few months offering fire safety checks, god bless them
