Hi guys,
Just doing a straw poll to see who has this enabled when browsing so you can have a look at a profile without showing..
Interested as to reasons why - if you'd wish to share that is!

Because I don't want to appear a creepy McCreep Face. 
Because sometimes I just nosy at a profile because I'm curious off the back of a forum post.
Because after receiving many "Oh I saw you looked at me" messages when I'd show that I had, I decided to hide it.  |

I hide or I often get messages from guys I’m not interested in saying hi, saw you looked come chat blah blah lol. I’d have messaged if I was interested lol |

This exactly as a couple if we don't have it set to don't show we've looked , we also get the " oh I see you've looked at me therefore you must want to fuck " messages |

I have it enabled mainly because it's an available option. I don't generally search or scroll through profiles but if someone messages me I like to be able to look at their profile before opening the message. |

Mines hidden. Was browsing once and saw a couples profile. After reading it was clear i wasn't going to be what they were looking for, so moved on. A little later i received a very nasty message about how disgusting i was and to never look at their profile again as i made them sick. Of course i left several "tracks" over the next few days before getting bored and blocking them.....
Since then I've hidden my viewing habits as it's not nice. If i view one i like and think i may match then I'll message. Simples |

I don't think it's creepy at all. I would say curiously intrigued would be the better word. Besides, I take it as a compliment if someone checks my profile a few times |

I have a few guys I constantly keep an eye on (some I’ve met some I haven’t yet) and yeah I just assumed my views would go unnoticed as I personally can’t keep up with who visits my profile with the amount of views I get ..they just refresh.
ANYWAY, all good till Kylie the clown here bombards certain individuals with visits and they can see every. Single. One.
Literally might as well tell them Mofos that I’m totally obsessed and that I’d happily carry their babies if I could… 
So.. yeah, I live in stealth mode  |

I normally leave it on as I like people knowing I wanted to look at them, its a good tool especially when hunting
However this year I turned it off in July and it won't go back on till next year as I'm simply not looking for anyone and incognito mode is where I'll stay |

I only message people that I’m interested in if they message me or wink.

I hide due to the times I've accidentally gone to a profile when trying to just scroll past then getting a message from that profile saying "thanks for looking at my profile" even though I didn't actually look this happened a few times so decided it was safer rather than being jumped on for doing something by accident |

I look in stealth, like some have said, stops people realising how much or a perv I am

Ours is enabled because we don't want people to know we've looked at them. I especially look at a lot of profiles of folk who post on the forums just out of curiosity and have probably looked at the profiles of all the regular posters.
I never knew of this feature until discovering the forums many moons ago and I'd agree that some people will see it as a green light to message you if they've seen you've looked at them. I certainly did when I saw Jane had looked at me a few times so I initiated contact. She never knew there was an option to switch it off.
Still, it's a good tactic to not ensable it when looking at the profile of someone(s) you like the look of every now and then to see if they respond with a wink or a message. That worked for me as a single

Not found the hidden oojamaflip yet. But I usually have a look at someones profile. Figure out that I'n not in their age range or that they prefer to meet sane individuals and that is that....until milliseconds later I see a post from the same person and then read the same profile and realise, I have an even worse memory than I thought. |
