First car I had was an old Opel Kadett City (basically a chevette) that I drove around the farm.

First car I drove on the road was my parents non turbo diesel Mk3 golf. Maybe the slowest cat ever made.

First car I owned and drove on the road was a beautiful 1969 BMW 2002 that I wished I still owned.

S First car was a MK4 Fiesta with a 1.25 zetec that amazed me every day it didn't fall in half

A bashed up bright blue 1962 VW Beetle. Bought it with my sister in 1990 when I was 12 and she 13. We saved every bit of pocket, christmas, and birthday money for our whole lives until we could afford a car... Luckily we got it just before the 60's revival when the prices skyrocketed. All we could do with it was drive it round the garden till we turned 18. It's now fully restored, and still lives with our parents in South Africa.

Awwwww that's lovely! I inherited my Granny's 1970s Honda Civic but I wasn't allowed to keep it. I really wish I'd had somewhere to put it other than my mother's garage. She sold it for scrap when I was 16

Fiat 126 was my first car but I never got to drive it. I bought it before my 17th from a friend who was getting rid of it.

I loved that thing , polished it and cleaned it all up , would sit in the driveway and start it up and practise gear changes but by the time I turned 17, my older brother got rid of his newer Fiat Uno and that became mine instead through the power of sibling “hand me down”

All all of the hundreds of cars, that I've driven (working in a car auction house) I've never driven that nor the Capri. Did I miss much?

(Former Sierra and Mondeo owner to boot.)

Took a marriage breakdown to make me grow up and learn to drive. I had mastered the drinking part, but never tried driving.

Passed my test a year to the day of us splitting up (no one knew I was having lessons ) and bought an Alfa 147

Had lessons and passed my test in an 850cc Mini. A few weeks later my first car was a Rover P6 2000cc twin carb. I was used to ramming my foot down on the accelerator to make the Mini go, so the Rover went like the proverbial poop off a shovel!

Strictly my first car was an f reg 2cv,though I never got to drive it as I hadn't passed my test. My first car I drove was an e reg mini. Both classics.

I passed my test in my own mini. Went to put the handbrake on after reversing around the corner only to find it was already on!! Examiner didn't notice thankfully, passed first time
