The real question is where are you?
Because that’ll answer it.
If you live in the sticks with no one around, then I can see it making sense to travel further.
However for me, I live close to London. There 900,000 people in my county alone. That means that there’s probably like 2-3 million people all within 30 minutes of me.
So I’d never travel more than 30-45 mins. No connection is worth it when I have that many people near me.
If the best connection I can find is 3 hours away, that says more about my lack of attractiveness than the actual “connection” itself. |

For a first meet … I don’t travel and I’m reluctant to let anyone travel hours for a social.
This said on the few occasions that I relented and they traveled hours, it worked out great bar one.
To my defence, I didn’t realise he wasn’t coming from his home town a hour away but from visiting his parents, 4 hours drive including bank holiday traffic. And I really didn’t like him  |

So if I can't find anyone local I must be unattractive and unappealing 
I'd rather have the odd meet that lives further away and I get on with than meet anything with a pulse thanks! |

No matter what the journey OP its always worth it...how will you ever know if you don't try....living where I do, means I would need to travel but if you click by chatting and you want the fun it's always worth it.
