Just got a couple of promising leads but quite a distance to travel.

What’s the furthest anyone had traveled to see someone and more importantly was it worth it ? Xxx

I live in the country so everywhere is further for me. That said, I would probably drive about an hour for a regular meet. 30 mins for a speculative one that I wasn’t sure of.

It all depends who it's for and what connection you have.

I travelled 3 hours for a social day with someone I'd been chatting to for a while.

It was definitely worth it.

100 mile round trip is the furthest so far, & made the same trip 5 or 6 times so far. I suppose it all depends on who you're meeting, what's going to take place and duration of the meet.

Pre-pandemic, I was regularly travelling two hours each way most weekends.

The furthest I’ve traveled is 4300 miles but I had planned the holiday first.

The real question is where are you?

Because that’ll answer it.

If you live in the sticks with no one around, then I can see it making sense to travel further.

However for me, I live close to London. There 900,000 people in my county alone. That means that there’s probably like 2-3 million people all within 30 minutes of me.

So I’d never travel more than 30-45 mins. No connection is worth it when I have that many people near me.

If the best connection I can find is 3 hours away, that says more about my lack of attractiveness than the actual “connection” itself.

We live 90 miles apart and I regularly make the journey across to see C. Although we are a lot further on than just a meet now

We have travelled to quite a few places to go to clubs too…London, Cambridge (a few times)…it’s an adventure for us.

Maximum an hours drive and that would be on a really good day. In general, I prefer the guy to travel to my area and get a hotel here.

For a first meet … I don’t travel and I’m reluctant to let anyone travel hours for a social.

This said on the few occasions that I relented and they traveled hours, it worked out great bar one.

To my defence, I didn’t realise he wasn’t coming from his home town a hour away but from visiting his parents, 4 hours drive including bank holiday traffic. And I really didn’t like him

Wow! You really are on form aren't you!

So if I can't find anyone local I must be unattractive and unappealing

I'd rather have the odd meet that lives further away and I get on with than meet anything with a pulse thanks!
