"Yes but they usually say no.
I wonder if it's company policy not to? For some at least.
It’s so they’re not constantly having to pee. "
I thought of all other reasons but this one |

I only use my kettle to make gravy. They can have a cup of bisto |

Same! I’m glad I’m not the only one I was starting to feel bad there |

No, I just leave them to it and go for a walk or something. I hate the thought of strangers in my house so I prefer not to be around whilst they are working. |

Many years ago I was on a loft conversion which was more of an entire extra floor and new roof so a long job. Every day at mid morning the lady would take our orders and turn up with a tray of teas and coffees and several packets of biscuits. She must have spent a few hundred on biscuits alone

"Of course. Cuppa and bacon sarnies,if they’re there all day maybe something from the chippy. If they’re close to finishing offer the non drivers a cold beer. "
I do this , it’s helps to get to know them and soften them up for the negotiation stage later |

"Anybody offer their trades men and women more than just a coffee "
Yes - if we're having dinner I always ask if they want some too.
That's what you meant, right? |

If they are there to do a task, always offer drink and biscuits. Long jobs, always keep them supplied. When the balcony was put up the team was kept supplied, even made them bacon sandwiches. They were so shocked, said they weren't used to that and people were quite often rude. I think that's sad. They refused to take a tip when it was done so I dropped some bottles of wine off at the workshop. I value good tradespeople. |

Always offer one. Although I do ask them to add their own milk in coffee as I don't have milky coffee and would likely cock it up.
Good reliable tradespeople are worth their weight in gold so try to keep them as sweet as possible |

"Always! My nan always taught us to "tip the maid early". I don't know if that's a real thing or was her thing. "
Yes it is - check if they'll be cleaning your room all your stay and a nice tip will remind them you appreciate their good work. |

Not a tradesman, but as someone who regularly visits people at home it's always nice to be offered, but I don't accept many or I'd need the loo on arriving at every appointment and eat my way through a pack of biccies every day.

"I always offer and am generally glad when they say no as I don’t have tea or coffee in normally
Then why offer"
Because it’s polite…. I’d crack open a beer for them once I’d said I was out of tea anyway |

"Naturally. Also if the guys are digging up the road outside or if I've had a long distance delivery I also offer a brew. Everyone needs a brew right?"
and a visit to the loo too.
I had a letter from my landlord, saying this form of civilised behaviour had to be put on hold due to covid. |

"Always offer!! If they ask for coffee though I then have to ask for specific instructions and warn thay I'm not much of a coffee drinker so it might not be the best "
I make good builders tea, but always suggest people make their own coffee |

Yes, it’s the law. I don’t get the tools out of the van if you don’t have a kettle. Biscuits are also important if you want a good job! Blowjobs go down even better |
