Yep, the inner wall is totally separate from the outer wall apart from where they join at the rim. Fresh coffee or tea in them barely makes any difference to the temperature of the outer wall. |

I have 3 mugs I use - two porcelain ones that my kids bought me (a pink one with hearts all over it and a peach and gold leaf one, that replaced a Best Mum mug my ex smashed before I left him). The third is a huge red mug with a heart on it, from K.
I also have a shot glass that I use for espresso.

What if it *was* white at some point? I've seen plenty at work that have extra "flavouring" baked in to them

Mine is black with white writing on it - the writing is just different hot drinks.
It's more about the size for me, too big and my tea isn't strong enough so although I've been gifted some lovely mugs I always fall back to this one.
I did have one that said we're all made of stardust which I loved but broke |

I can't possibly choose as I collect nice mugs, but my most faves are a big large mug with zebras on, a flamingo mug that says Classy Bird, and one with pawprints on (that match my pawprint tats) that says Keep Your Paws Off My Mug, and one that says Queen of Fucking Everything which a friend got me about 10yrs ago and I still love it! |

Im happy to see so many have a favourite mug, people look at me like I'm crazy asking for a particular mug 
At home its just my mickey mouse mug.
At my mums its my little miss princess or my dexter mug with blood drips. Its the size of the mugs i like  |

Yes! I have a thermal mug from the brand "Smash" and it's fucking amazing! It'll keep liquid at least warm for over 8hrs (yes, I tested it by accident by leaving in in the car one day!) |

I have a favourite mug that has a crack in it so is now a peen pot in the kitchen... that's from the empire state building.
My favourite ones to actually drink from are either my Dopey mug from the Disney Store approximately 1500 years ago, a couple of mugs with monkeys on that came from Monkey World, and one I painted at one of those paint a pot places. That's got a tribal style monkey on it that I've actually done on 2 mugs, 2 sizes of plate and so far one bowl.
