In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
"I've seen them both at Knebworth, not on the same day obviously
But I'm gonna chuck a curve ball in here, and say Deep Purple "

Funnily enough it wasn't til lockdown that I really started taking notice of Queen and bought all there albums up to live killers.. though if I had to choose it would be led Zeppelin..cos queen have far more shite songs than Zeppelin..and that's on the album's I've listed.... Saying that led Zeppelin live is generally a load of self indulgent wank at times.. .. |

I had a ticket for Zep at Knebworth but was ill in bed and missed it - I was gutted. I saw Queen at Coventry theatre - Killer Queen was just out and I got tickets two days before the concert. |

"Not even a close contest…Queen are just an incredible band - totally unique in their sound.
They changed the 3 min song rule for radio play…
Love of my life is a beautiful song…

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest |
Both fabulous bands that made their own impressionable mark in history. I enjoy both.
Freddy Mercury's voice is something to behold, though Robert Plant has great pipes as well.
Brian May or Jimmy Page? Take your pick!
Ultimately I enjoy Led Zeppelin more by a nod. They also had Bonzo. Best Rock drummer of all time; end of |

Duran Duran had more Roger Taylor's than Queen |

"Queen - You Take My Breath Away (live at Hyde Park 1979)
This is my favourite song
"
Do you mean the free concert in 1976? If so I was there too and it was brilliant!
Led Zeppelin just edge it for me though although it's very close. Freddie Mercury was an absolute star. |

Another impossibly hard choice OP...
Of course Zep didnt release singles or videos so they were less radio/tv played. Back in the day Queen were way more visible with their videos etc, and a big part of my formative years...
However...
If I had to take all of my Queen and Zep albums, and put them in the order I'd listen to them in my final hours, Led Zep 1 to 4 would be first to fourth in my list.
Tough to pick a favourite track, but I know that good times bad times always gets cranked waaaay up when I'm on the road...
I know what it means to be alone...
I sure do wish I was at home...
I dont care what the neighbours say...
I'm gonna love you... each and every day...
Zep. All day long |

I do love Queen but Bohemian Rhapsody certainly wasn't the first to break through the 3 minute airplay rule. Hey Jude is 7 minutes long and was released in 1968 |

i was ther, sat on my dads shoulders. i was seven. it was thrilling all day. i remember seeing kiki dee prancing around the stage with a life sized cardboard cut out of elton john. i was totally captivated by steve hillage too. i remember him stopping part way through an imense guitar part to shout at some people fighting near the stage. queen were just the best thing i had ever seen. the whole day changed my life and i vowed to become a musician when i grew up.
led zep v queen .... it's a draw in my book |

Wow i wish i was there , i l9ve when Freddie says "you need to listen this one " this song wasn't totally recorded at this time! You so lucky that you have listened this song before even finally been recorded!
I myself found , the recorded version not good as the version that was recorded on camera in this concert |

Here and now, at this point in my life, I cannot separate them. But for the history and memories I have of them, it's QUEEN every day of the week.
Brighton Rock (Live), Hammer to Fall, the whole of the "Live at the Beeb" album; goosebumps and tears every time! |

It's so close for me it's nearly impossible to say. If I had to pick I'd say Queen but only because I've been listening to Queen for longer. I bought my first Queen album, The Works, in 1984 but didn't buy my first Led Zep album, Led Zep IV, until 1986 or 1987. |

Saw Zeppelin at Earls Court and Queen at Liverpool Empire their first UK tour. Queen were far better when they first started - less flamboyant and less camp. Zeppelin were just fantastic
Queen - Love of my Lifenas as a song Queen II album
Zeppelin - Kashmir song Physical Graffiti album |
