The opposite, I start to wonder if the celebrity has contributed to the charity themselves. Which then puts me off, which I know it shouldn't.
Personally I have two rules with charities, never support the popular ones. I came to this decision after a local mayor wanted to support a charity for adults with learning disabilities after years of children's charities getting thousands. The charity ended up with nothing as it had pay for the event hire.
Charities that are a rife with corruption or operate as business to make a profit that the charity doesn't see. |
