The right place

I recently found out that adultery is only if a married man has sexual intercourse with another woman ( or a married woman with another man). But if a man or woman has a same sex relationship it doesn't count as adultery.

I only found this out recently too, when I was filling my divorce papers in. Who knew

"It's any sex outside of the marriage even a kiss "

Only socially. And even then it varies person to person on what they consider it to be.

The actual definition is vaginal intercourse

Well well... Does that mean anal and oral is OK?

Technically yes. Only technically!

It is highly likely that any kind of voluntary sex, oral or anal, with any gender will be viewed adultery in today's modern world.

It must be consensual, yes. Oh wait you mean consensual between the spouses?

Grey area again I guess, bringing it back to today's world views and subjective per person.

Yeah consensual between the spouses. If what vine said is quoted. I wonder if there is a “unless it’s consensual” bit.

Theres a lot worse of legislation that only includes opposite sex couples because a lot of it hasn't been updated for decades. It was only in 2003 that there was a legal age of consent between two females, previously there wasn't one.

Manchester (he/him)

That’s interesting!

The fact that legally it’s only sex if penetration occurs is a long held view that desperately needs to change but it also colours societal views as well.

Another example of how legislation and legalities on many things fall very very far behind the realities of the world
