Misheard or Made Up?

We all know songs that have infamously misheard lyrics or we couldn't work out what it was and fill in the gaps with what we think is being said.

But anyone ever deliberately put in their own lyrics just because its what you thought you heard and then decide you like your version better?

For example, with Calvin Harris' Ready for the Weekend, I replace "I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend" with "I'm gonna fight Zeus and I'm ready for the weekend"
