Saw this debate earlier...

After a long business trip away from his family, a man is greeted by his family (wife, daughter, mother and sister) who should the man greet/hug first while coming off the plane.

Mum

Sister

Daughter

Wife

"Are they lining up together to meet the head of the household? "

No, just cannot anybody just miss someone and be thankful they have arrived safely without somebody thinking otherwise

Stoke area

If the daughter is under 10, daughter 1st, then wife, mum and sister.

If daughter is older, then wife first, then mum, daughter and sister.
