WotWeek RESULTS for week 5

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It's results time. The theme was naughty but nice and I'm still waiting for a slice of lemon meringue pie.

Who did you find?

How many times did you indulge yourself and post?

How many puds did you have to eat this week?

What was Jacqs' assigned word and what was the word she played most of the week?

Based on the guesses sent to me KinkyinHants got 10 correct guesses and wins that prize.

I suspect she also posted her word/phrase most often as she followed the 'Ron' method employed last week.

Jacqs used her official word 3 times, she is a little indisposed at present.

I'm really not sure even she knows how many times she used her other word. It was lots!

I hope she realises Ron was severely reprimanded with jump leads for his naughty scam.

Think I got mine in 5 times - would have been more but fired off a few premature warning shots!

Did see it used by about another 10 people though - and guessed a fair few too!

You didn't tell me what the reprimand was so I felt a precedent had been set. I'll reprimand Kinky by taking away some of her shoes. That is the harshest reprimand I could give any woman.

"Custard was superramfan and maple syrup was kinki"

Superramfan's custard didn't sound very appealing but I quite liked the prunes. Custard was his word.

No one was issued with maple syrup.

No one has sent me a guess for Femme, eveshamgal, highclasfun, missbehaving, fmuma, Polo or misscheekychops.

On that basis they all deserve a badge for evading detection.

No use would be NO BADGE of any size! I have read as many posts as I could this week - it takes up a lot of time! I'll need my week off wordkeeper duty to recover.

It's appeared in every post I've made and was there on the screen available to be spotted. I just put it in a format that would be automatically posted each time.

But that's not used, If you change it at any time it would not be there to be seen retrospectively and it was clearly not used. If everyone changed their location at the last minute on Friday it would be farcical. To use a word it implies enclosing it in the body of the text and the whole skill is it include it in the body of the text without others seeing it.

The way I read the rules, the phrase has to appear in posts between Monday and Friday. I changed my status at 8am on Monday. Whatever I do now, my phrase was in my posts, as a result of my actions, between Monday and Friday. It was there every time, available to be seen and spotted.

Our word master knew about it and didn't cry foul. She can also confirm that I've been using the location with my phrase in since the beginning of the week. Had I changed my location on Friday and tried to claim every post throughout the week, that would be cheating, but I didn't.

Last week or the week before, people used their words in threads that were subsequently deleted. Does that mean they shouldn't count as having been used?

Nothing in the game rules specified so far has said the word or phrase has to appear in the body of the post, just in the post. My location is part of every post.

We're clearly interpreting the rules differently, so maybe clarification is needed.

Working rum baba into a location that looked fairly normal took effort, just as spotting the phrases and words into individual posts did.

Nobody is trying to spot words retrospectively so why should it matter, as long as the word(s) is/are there, clearly to be seen between Monday and Friday, what happens to them after that?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I can confirm that I was asked if the word or phrase could be used in the 'Ron' manner. As Ron had used his in a way that made it hard to spot and was not thrown out of the geame I can't see why this would be out of bounds.

Kinky's location changed on Monday and therefore appeared in all of her posts.

Polo is wordkeeper next week and has set out the rules for the lyrics week of this game. Enjoy, it will be much healthier than this week. I'm sure I gained weight just reading the many uses of banana split and clotted cream. Not enough lemon meringue pie for my liking but I did get lots of gooseberry fool.

Did you not say a week ago "2. Insert into as many posts and messages as you can from Monday to Friday".

Now if you allow what is not actually posted by the user then all sorts of interpretation to occur resulting in people getting board and giving up on trying to spot words that haven't been inserted in the body of the text. After all its supposed and involve people in what I guess you would call the spirit of the game.

Gradually sobering up now but still pretty sloshed and likely to remain so for a while yet.

Way too chilled to brawl. A night out with friends, being driven round in a fabulous, very special car and the very rare event of drinking a skinful of draught cider has made for a very content, mellow kinky.

It's an evolving game and I have taken a relaxed view of how people play. One flag wearing person pointed out the subtlety with which another person was playing the game. It made it clear they had been 'found'. Is that breaking the spirit too? I didn't think so at the time and don't now.

Anyhoo, another week over. Polo is in charge next week. Week five is moribund.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Any and all criticism should be levelled at me as wordkeeper this week. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and to express it, as we know.

Taking the game into the realm of the personal is what will ensure people won't want to play and will get bored. It's a game.

It would be nice if more people wanted to join in. I enjoyed this week for the guesses that came in about people who weren't playing at all.

Let it go and enjoy the weekend.

"Ok I think you two should take this private and drop it off the forums. Thanks."

I'm going to sleep.

Not interested in discussing it with someone who wasn't even playing and won't accept the word of the adjudicator.

Not even sure why someone not playing would care.

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

Can I just confirm….. the Wordkeeper of the week has a relative amount of autonomy to allow infringements of the rules if it is deemed to be in the spirit of ‘avin a larf’. They may also reprimand players by way of sexual torment just for the hell of it. It is all in the small print inside my knickers.

In cases of dispute the doctorial leader (polo) of the Organised Innovative Challenge United National Trust (Oi CUNT), which is the governing body of the Word of the Week Challenge, may choose to not give a fuck.

I hope this clarifies matters.

Oi CUNT has spoken. If the small print has to get longer she's going to need bigger knickers
