They are both hard and can both interupt life so much. Which do you think you could cope with better, physical or mental pain?
Knowing of course the ideal choice would be no pain. |

I'd like to say physical but both can be equally debilitating and I wouldn't want to belittle anyone's experience of either. Perhaps for me personally physical because I find mental pain to be a different circle of hell entirely. |

When I was in pain mentally, it caused me physical pain. My whole body ache with grief. It was intense.
Codeine works well for me so I'd prefer just physical pain so I can knock myself out.

That apparently is where i am with my rotor cuff... I have to do a bit of mind over matter for the initial pain and trick it into doing things it remembers before the pain... But not cause too much pain that it takes more than 24 hours to recover |

I have a condition called Cluster Headache, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
The Physical pain is overwhelming when they happen and leaves you totally drained.
The emotional pain comes between the hits, why me, what did I ever do to deserve this.
Whatever pain you suffer with, you're not alone, there IS help and support.
Stay strong x. |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
They're both so intrinsically linked for me that I can't actually remember what it was like to not feel them.
So quite frankly, losing either would be a blessing. |

It depends on the magnitude of pain.
When does emotional pain over failing as a person equate to a broken arm? Or arthritic pain.
They are so different it's impossible to compare.
I have had emotional pain that has expressed itself physically and physical pain that has affected me emotionally.
