Ah surf Snowdonia i know it well. In the village of Dolgarog , where my mams family lived . The sight used to be an aluminium works .
Its about 10 mins from my village |

I know been up there many times before DOE awards Welsh 3000 was starting point only twice was it clear but what a sight ! |

Crib is deffo the best but if the weather isn't playing ball the PYG/Miners often give the most sheltered option.
Alternatively, starting up the Miners then heading left just before the lake takes you over Y Liwedd with some easy and enjoyable scrambling in a much less exposed position. The other really nice route (and one you'll likely see no one on) is to park at Rydd Ddu, then skirt around and come up the south ridge, this is all walking on paths but can give a very wild remote feel for the UK's busiest mountain. A return down Rhyd Ddu give some fantastic ridge walking but it is walking not scrambling.
Both these routes though are going to be exposed to the the forecasted SW winds. Should be manageable by Sat afternoon/eve and maybe Sun.
Not teaching you to suck eggs but keep an eye on the possibility of lightning on Sun, we had a couple of guys killed in two separate strikes on separate mountains within minutes here in S Wales a few years back
