The profile picture - what would make you second glance and what would want you reading their profile?
I guess it's different reasons for men and women.

1st - a well taken pic. That catches my attention. Then you get a welldeserved fab from me!
2nd - I am a bit of a sucker for a good black & white pic tbh.
3rd - A female with strong thighs & a peachy bum to match.
4th - When she has nice areloas and nipples to lick & suck!
5th - Yeah, of course pics are great! But I do like to see a wee bit of a personality from a woman in her profile. I might be an odd male here - but I do like a break from the pics.... Also, I put an effort into mine so I like to see one in hers!

A face pic will always catch my attention. If not, then a sexy suit pic, or even a shirtless pic would be intriguing. A cock pic as a profile pic would turn me off. |

I love seeing a face pic too ( hypocrisy I know as mine isn't ) tend to go straight past the boobs ones as im not really that fussed with them. Laying down on your belly and shot from above is always a winner with me too  |

Photos has to be Something that draws me in and makes me see more of them. The profile bio needs to show personality for me so I get a sense of if they are someone I would be interested in meeting |

Love tasteful, arty or eroctic pics and those in black and white.
The only things that would stop me going to someones profile would be pics of their genitals. But even then some are done well. |

I've tried to make all of my pics have a subtle tease of intrigue, and this is what I also look for when I look at pics, less is more in certain respects,...some thing which teases the thoughts with the ability of a image |

I'm a huge fan of teasing pictures. But it depends on the person. An appealing picture of one person wouldn't necessarily work on another.
Something that makes me think he's ready to rip his clothes off though.... that is always a good one.

A well taken photo, suit or dress shirt, casual unzipped jeans and open shirt or no shirt. A mix of
Colour pics and black and white are nice as well.
When I read a profile, yes I read them, I want to get a sense of who you are.

And them most of those are selfies, when it would be easier to get their partner to take it for them, which then also opens up a lot more (creative) ways of framing the shot - a badly exposed, but correctly framed, will always be more pleasing to the eye than a correctly exposed, but poorly framed one.
A quick read on The rule of thirds, Golden ratio, leading lines and negative space will help explain why certain photos (and art or cinematography) are visually enjoyable

An interesting and imaginative pic attracts me, something that looks like its been thought about. Cheeky, sexy, great poses. Then a good status update, and a few face pics in there gallery.

A classic face picture, a nice smile. A well-written profile with a hint of humour.
