In this age of digital photography, where a digital camera costs less than some dinners do; where one is able to take a hundred pictures of themselves without having to pay for film processing; where people can see immediately what their snapshots look like; where people can simply delete bad photos without consequence; where people can experiment and take pictures of themself or their spouse at the most flattering angles; and where photos can be easily taken to be up to date and always current on their profiles; why are we continually shocked that so many profiles have such outdated (many outdated by many years) and just generally bad photos?
This is a site to meet people-presumably to try have sex with. Everyone should be trying to put their best selves forward. And with digital photography there really is no excuse in not having current photos up or in trying to at least have better ones up. We totally understand that is difficult at times to have good "couple" photos because full body shots of a couple will usually have to be taken by someone else. But when it comes to individuals, photos of each person can be taken by the other person in the couple. Face pictures should also be one of the easier photos to take. If you have a mirror, one can even take their own pictures themself.

No it doesn't frustrate me.
Nobody is going to put up what they percieve to be a bad picture of themselves and as with most things in life some will always make more of an effort than others.
Unfortunately some will put up misleading
pictures (out of date, doctored or taken at angles to hide body shape or enhance size etc) but that is probably impossible to police.
If a profile has pictures that don't appeal to you then it's just another profile to eliminate. If you are misled into meeting someone by pictures that don't represent the true or current them, simply don't play and give honest feedback. |
