I been inteviewed 6 people today for a reception/ administration position in Leeds on nearly 20,000.
How hard is it to find someone who has a personality and can work microsoft and basic computer packages!
Does anyone know any good, free or cheap recruitment sites? |

I'm afraid you'll just have to do the hard work yourself.
The worst thing about using agencies, is that the cv's only tell you what the agencies want to tell you and doesn't always do the applicant justice!
I'll be recruiting next week....so I do feel your pain! |

Do you really want to recruit from a Swinging site ?
Do you want your professional life mixing with your personal life ?
You are really leaving yourself wide open.
I also don't understand why pics are important ?
Are you looking for a good administrator or a good administrator that happens to be good looking ?
The whole thread, to me, suggests that you are less than professional. |

I didn't think he was advertising on here he asked for suggestions for recruitment agencies and he didn't say he wanted a photo I thought he was answering someone who said "just train up a blonde" or words to that effect. I'm fairly sure that being a swinger and a good receptionist aren't mutually exclusive
To the OP I'd say that unless they were all absolute rubbish go back through the cvs you rejected and see if there's anyone you missed or contact your local FE college and see if they can recommend anyone who's recently taken a business or admin course (they do have adult leaners too). |

Commercial services
Most commercial postings are NOT ok. Some that are specifically related to swinging such as swingers club nights might be, so long as it's not annoying site users. Discretion is applied.
If you don't like the above rule, you will need to contact Admin to get it changed. |

Doesn't help that the prospective employer posts bad in English - perhaps that is also an issue that should be looked at?
If you aren't clear on what you require when advertising there are those that will ignore you, £20,000 for English comprehension? lol |

Fella,
Hit them with a simple psychometric test - you have to do a load of them for gov't jobs with sc clearance or above.
Tests intelligence, honesty, reasoning etc and, well if your candidate is worth inviting for interview.
It's an employers market at the moment so make your life easy and use vetting methods to thin out the excreta |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
"Ian all seriousness, I can do reception work, I can type quickly and accurately but would anyone take on a male receptionist/pa? Will they bollox......"
I have had several male receptionists, admin staff and PAs. Some have been a bit linear in their approach but I have always recruited well enough to not need to take remedial action once they are in their role. |
