Yeah, but urban pollution is constant and is horrible every day. Muck spreading only happens a couple of times a year and lasts for a few weeks as they do all the fields, so isn't anywhere near as intrusive |

Muck spreading is fine as long as it's from a larger animal. Chicken manure can really pong - but it's better than air I've breathed in when in some of our larger cities |

I do notice it when it’s on the local fields but as others have said it’s never for long and not exactly offensive but more pungent.
There is a chicken farm just outside of town and that’s a different story all together |

Dependant on which way the wind is blowing I get the good smell of Weetabix being baked or the horrid smell of the nearby Landfill site.
The couple of weeks of muck spreading make a nice change and are a good reminder of my semi rural location. |

Yes I remember carrying out some work near Wellingborough and that Weetabix plant does whiff a bit! So does the Nestle plant at Banbury but maybe not as bad as the sugar plant in Silvertown, East London. Give me some good old manure any day ?? |

I've lived on or around farms and eventually you stop noticing any smell.
Whenever I go into a city I feel like I'm suffering with hay fever with the pollution.
Smell over breathing difficulties anyday |
