Screamadelica - 30 today!

Screamadelica by Primal Scream was released 30 years ago today, I know right, feels like only yesterday. What’s your favourite track, from the genre defining album, what’s your memories of this seminal album and who remembers that bit from Don’t fight it feel it being used in the football round up, halycon days ?!

My favourite track is obviously Loaded, then Movin On Up, Come Together and Shine like Stars.

Not to mention the album cover still looks amazing and managed to Encapsulate the feeling in an abstract piece of art.

My favourite part was when all the acid house devotees bought Give Out But Don't Give Up and wondered what the hell was going on.

For years I thought Bobby was singing ‘get your rock salt, get your rock salt and honey!’ thought he was branching out into the mineral business.

"Loaded most definitely "

They gave Andrew weatherall (RIP) ‘I’m losing more than I ever have’ and told him to really fuck it up, it’s almost unrecognisable.

It still sounds as good today. Great album. There was a great documentary "the lost memphis tapes" about their give out but don't give up album. Worth a watch.

That's a great doc.

I'm a big fan of Echo Dek.

Yeah, it hasn’t dated at all. Yeah I saw that, was good, I actually prefer the Memphis tapes version of Give out but don’t give up.

They've definitely 'borrowed' a large part of it.

Great album! Think they’re doing a live set of it at Ally Pally pending, saw a poster and need to look up the details!

It was bit of a departure from their first two albums.
