How long have you been single
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hey guys just want to know to all the single people in here how long are you single? I'm coming up to my 8th year being single and tbh it's hard to be possitive and confident about my looks and personality from time to time but I get by |

"About two and a half years - I enjoy it for lots of reasons and have loads of fun but other times it can be a bit lonely. Swings (sexy ones ) and roundabouts. Lx"
Totally agree with this comment, it's nice to do what you want and when lol but it can be lonely at times as well. |

5 years for me, tried dating and it doesn't work. Case in point recently starting seeing someone and the first time she stayed over ( Monday just gone ) she had me up until 4am arguing. Had fab playmates stay over and no such problems. |

Why was she arguing at 4am. Did you hog the duvet? |

I haven’t had a long term/serious relationship for 20 years. I’ve got the the point now where I’m too set in my ways and used to being on my own, to let anyone else in. |

"Three years around now I caught him out on his lie, be three officially at the beginning of January
that's crap, I'm sorry
Oh I'm so over him... Should have left him long before I did "
Not a great way to end things though. I wish I had left my LTR about a decade before I did! |

4.5 years now. My one and only proper relationship!
Was recently dating someone for 6/7 month's. Kept getting close, then told hmmm, maybe Just friends, repeated a few times. Was quite draining and upsetting really!
I'm not cut out for relationships it seems, ill keep it simple now. |

5 years and very happy. I'm still very good friends with my ex wife and we help each other out if we can.
Although this situation makes it easy for me I can't see me ever having another relationship.

Sixteen years, and staying that way, I don't think that I want to go back to having to get up in the of the night and head for the family bathroom to let go a rip, rap roarer and arsehole tearer. It's bad enough doing that when I have someone sleeping over without making it habit of a lifetime. |

Not at all, it was more that after 4 dates, this being the 4th I didn't agree that we were in a " relationship " just yet |

6 years since left the wife... though wish I'd done so sooner rather than trying to do the right thing
Dabbled since but struggled and only now starting to come out of my self and be me... but its hard And long way to go before finding my self confidence and esteem. |

Ah well that’s a stupid time for her to have that discussion and I’d have told her to sleep on the sofa. Best off out of that one by the sounds of it. |

Beds (or anywhere beginning with B..!?) |
Not long enough given the spiteful messages the ex left this week ...some only show their true colours at the end of things I guess, but ...why do you only remember the block option when it's too late
Doh! |

Four years now, one or two dates with a couple of ladies but nothing special.
Got another date set up for next weekend
However I can’t see myself settling down with anyone now, too set in my ways. |

I personally have lost count. I did take a vow of celibacy which lasted for 5years (through choice I must add) and although I learnt a great deal about myself in the process, it suddenly dawned on me that I was only depriving myself and others. |
