A work colleague has had a baby boy today and obviously been looking at "The Big Book of Stupid Fucking Baby Names".
The name it's lumbered with is now Ace. And their surname is not even Rimmer, which would be cool and I could understand that. (google Ace Rimmer if you're confused)
Were these people never in school? Do they not know how cruel kids are? Or does every child have a stupid name these days so its the norm?
His older brother is called Zion I just heard.
So any opinions on or further ridiculous names for spawn?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
There are lots of names from all over the world in schools now and certainly at primary level most of the children attending inner city, culturally diverse schools would think it wrong to make fun of a name.
Your post made me laugh because my sister and I were chatting to a couple of a new born just yesterday. The initials of their fathers' names would spell ACE and we were joking they should just call the new baby just that. |

With a cracking view |
Always having to check how parents want to spell the names given to their kids, especially as there's a trend for changing the spelling of well known names.
Had one wanting to name their baby Melaena
And another thought of naming her baby after her grandfather Malcolm, and she delivered a girl, and seriously thought of naming her Malcomena ! |

Our sons name is Scandinavian, it's Torben which means thunder bear... You can guarantee someone somewhere has made a thread like this about our name choice.

Always be wary of Names that mean things in a foreign language.
Like people who get someones name or a phrase tattoed on them in mandarin or something. You've got to make sure it actually means what you think it means or you end up with the words Arse Feltcher on you permanently. |

"What about Michael Hunt - know of 2 real ones! Z"
I know of a Michael Hunt that used to be an area manager for one of my previous jobs. Didn't like being called 'Mike' for some reason..
..and part of my job now is to send out post. One name that crops up every now and again is A. Hole |

Gotta love Mr and Mrs Iles who named their son Peter... He became a doctor and his badge read Dr P Iles...
And he was a hemorroid specialist... But is now a cardiologist...;-)
He worked his way up from the bottom... |

Thats due to that singer Maverick Saber isn't it. If you're surname is Saber and you have a baby then the correct name to call it is Light not Maverick! |

Actually, I think it was after a car (which is possibly even worse!!!!)...my god-daughter's 12 now so it's before Maverick Saber I think... |

Downstairs from our office is a Chinese Language School and as we have to sift through the mail to find our, I've always thought there was huge potential for a comedy name amongst them.
One day there it was...Long Wang! FInally! Even got pictorial evidence!

And shall we all prepare ourselves for the number of boys who will be called Christian or Grey or Steel and girls called Anastasia or Ana? (Fifty Shades of Grey for those who don't know). I foresee a lot of children with the same name and lots of parents who won't admit to having read THOSE books....lol |
