The good will out.
As in; whatever shit storm you're in, if you're the good guy people will realise eventually. Say little and ride it out. It might take a while but you'll come out on top. If you were in the right that is.

Happy Mind Happy Life …. So much negativity in world these days personally I try and distance myself from it and people who want to spread it !! Yes we all have our troubles and ups and downs life is difficult and challenging but when you think negative you just spread it into your mind like a disease and infect others, i always start my day with positive thinking and a smile just for my own well being. |

Two main ones for me (Mr):
You can't change the wind but you can adjust the sail.
And
You can only piss with the dick you've got.
Generally they are both about accepting that life doesn't always go your way, throws spanners in the works and that we all have our weaknesses and flaws. But that doesn't mean give up, it means look to what we can do and make the very best to succeed with what we got however grim the situation seems. Focus on what you got that is good and you can use (however small). Not dwell on obstacles and inadequacies. And most of all don't surrender, never give up but don't be afraid to change course. In my experience it's this attitude that's seen me through many a rough sea and out the other end.

When I was younger it was "never compromise and you will never live a lie". As I've gotten older I discovered that life is all about adjustment and compromise and I was a massive dick as a kid ;-p |

There's a third actually. And I need to give the background to it. Joost van der westhuizen... South African rugby player. Was a bit of a hero of mine. Outragously talented and handsome. And struck down by MND. If you Google joist van der westhuizen BBC interview... There's a short interview with him in the later stages of the disease. The juxtaposition of him in his prime and struggling to make himself understood is very stark. Towards the end of the 3 minute interview he says..
"there are two things we as humans take for granted, that is health and time."
Take a few minutes and watch it. It will be worth it. |
