"Wombles collect it up..and post it through there letter boxes at night.. along with a couple of dog turds.....well that's what should happen.. "
Where I am we have a group called wombles that go out collecting litter.

discombobulated land |
"Does it walk to the bin? "
Sadly not no. It makes its way into streams etc and ruins the countryside, takes forever to degrade and therefore pollutes wherever it lands. Small creatures eat it and get sick, possibly die. To all those that do litter (and that includes cigarette butts) you should all be ashamed at your selfishness and pathetic outlook on life. You're obviously poorly educated and need to sit in a dark room and have a serious think. Makes me sick. |

"The same thing as the rubbish left in a cinema after a movie and on an airplane after a flight, someone else picks it up "
However the cinema that I go to (Vue) specifically tells us to leave it there so that they can collect and recycle properly. |

Which is only necessary because asking people are too bastard lazy to recycle properly. It doesn't take much effort to separate the paper/card from plastic and put it in the correct bin but most simply cannot be bothered.
It winds me up anywhere but especially in the countryside. I'm a big advocate of making our wild spaces accessible to all, not just a bunch of middle aged, middle class white folk in ridiculously overpriced and over-specced clothing. Sadly, what happens is an area becomes popular and is then trashed with disposable BBQ's, abandoned tents and fucking stupid piles of stones for Insta - never mind if those stones come from a Bronze age burial cairn, were the home of countless larvae on a river bed or are now killing of the last remaining grass holding the topsoil on a mountain top together. Why the fuck can people not leave things as they are instead of having to put their little mark there to spoil it for everyone else?

Depends on what it is, can take hundreds of years to biodegrade if it ever does, meanwhile screws up the existing eco system and looks bloody awful.
People take your rubbish home and recycle it properly! |

Unbelievable I've seen it suggested that car reg should be printed on takeaway packaging. |

I've never understood what possess anyone to just throw rubbish on the ground/out of the window etc. Just.....WHY??????
I have seen yoghurt pots, McD's, coffee cups and all sorts chucked out of windows onto the central reservation of the dual carriageway that leads from the motorway to our little bit of world. It incenses me. If I can remember the reg plate, I "name and shame" on the local area FB page
My Grandparents used to take us out walking in the little bit of oasis that was their bit of the Lake District and we never once went out without litter picking. He carried on litter picking right until the very end - he said that volumes of rubbish had increased massively in recent years and especially during the first lockdown with takeaway food and drink packages. |

Dubai & Nottingham |
This is probably the single one thing I like about Dubai, no litter anywhere, no a single bit and other than a few ex pat arseholes , no cigarette butts anywhere either. And it’s not because of the risk of fines either, everyone just chooses to keep the place very clean |
