Southwick

Just been having a very nostalgic evening accessing websites listing bands and festival goers memories of events I attended. 1) Reading 1978 - Sham 69, The Jam, Penetration (seriously), Stranglers, Suzi Quattro etc. 2) Reading 1983 - Magnum, Marillion, Thin Lizzy, Mama's Boys, Black Sabbath (farewell) etc. Spent best part of 2 hours reliving these gigs. Will have to look up the Led Zeppelin and Genesis gigs in 1976 and 1978 at Knebworth. Then there Queen at Hyde Park in 1976 and ZZ Top at Milton Keynes Bowl in 1991. But that'll be another night lol.

Zepellin was amazing...250,000 reported attendance. Many more got in after fences broken down. Only went to MK once but very impressed. Driving home via M1 after was an experience not to be repeated mind! Don't remember Dodgem Cars - will check out on t'internet.

Hinckley

Reading 83 (Shame Sabbath and Lizzy were shite !! )

All the Monsters of Rock from 1983 until they finished and became Download

Couple of Glastonbury's (the best one being 2010 when we took our young grandkids...you can see the eldest on our shoulders from the BBC footage on YouTube during Hot Chip)

Dozens of 1 day festivals over the years.

Shame they're too bloody expensive these days...though we'll be trying for Glasto tickets this year as it's daughter's 30th, my best mates 50th and the last year before our youngest goes off to Uni.
